There are 4 types of auto body & collision shops.
1. Shops that have some good relations and DRP agreements with a few insurers, yet insist on putting every effort possible towards OEM repairs.
2. Shops that have no DRP agreements and feel they work for the consumer and are opposed to any effort by insurers to use aftermarket or salvage parts.
3. Shops that have many DRP agreements and due to price matching still insist on using OEM body parts and aren’t afraid to market that fact.
4. Then there’s shops that their entire business plan is to do whatever the insurer asked, in spite of the consumers car losing value or being unsafe.
